"I am the leading voice for immigration reform in New Jersey. I am an activist, blogger, entrepreneur and Co-President of Women’s March Youth Empower. Through my online platform I advocate and help guide people to the necessary resources to register to vote. As a DACA recipient, I have stood up for my community since September 2017 when Trump announced the rescinding of DACA."
Sara is a much sought after speaker at immigrant rights events because of her work as an extraordinarily dedicated, smart and compassionate advocate for immigrant and working-class communities. A DACA recipient herself, Sara has been a mentor to many young people who are facing one of the most uncertain and frightening times in their lives. She has given presentations to hundreds of high school students on community organizing, college access and immigrant rights issues. Sara has given speeches and led marches on more than a dozen occasions across the country, and has authored acclaimed opinion pieces that have shaped the debate on the DREAM Act both in New Jersey and nationally.
Sara Mora: Causes I Advocate For
"Currently I am working with Women's March. My work through Women's March has been centered around the importance of registering people to vote and of urging those who cannot vote to do so because voting is so much bigger than any of us. Youth are creating change all across the nation and so through the work with Youth Empower we urge youth to prepare to vote for the first time and/or to become champions of change for those who can't register. I advocate for immigration reform, for education and for women’s rights."
