Subway Series
We joined forces with some incredible ladies this past summer and had our summer intern Olivia (also of the blog LivforStyle) photograph these bloggers in the subways of NYC. We wanted to capture these girls unique style so we asked them to style themselves.
Meet: Priscilla Andalia of Best Trends for Life
"I’m Priscilla Andalia, the stylist, photographer, model, and writer behind Best Trends For Life. I’m a 20 something year old who is obsessed with fashion and photography. I started BTFL in August 2014 as an outlet for me to continue with my passion for fashion and photography as I pursue my dream of becoming a dentist." You can check out her feature on Boy Meets Girl here.
Meet: Michelle Orsi of MichellesPaige
"Everyone has to get dressed in the morning; I believe that choosing an outfit should be fun & each outfit should make you feel your absolute best. I intend to use this blog to showcase my personal style, plus anything else that I happen to find interesting!" You can check out her feature on Boy Meets Girl here.
Meet: Dani McGowan of MermaidWaves
"Dani McGowan is a student and aspiring ballet dancer with a love for fashion. She is from Chicago and studied dance at the Chicago Academy for the Arts. Dani created her personal style blog, Mermaid Waves, in December 2013. She believes personal style should be empowering and make people feel fabulous, Dani has never fit in to a mold and hopes to inspire others to dress outside the norm. Fashion has always been in Dani’s vocabulary. She changed her outfits numerous times a day as a child, it was not unlikely for Dani to walk outside in a tutu and boa, but she always seemed to pull it off. When Dani moved back into the city her love for fashion grew immensely, she began to feel more comfortable testing out the latest trends whether it be socks and sandals or rose gold hair. She loves street style and finds inspiration from people walking through the city displaying their own style. When Dani is not dancing or shopping, she likes to drink tea and catch up on her favorite TV shows (all 25 of them)." You can check out her feature on Boy Meets Girl here.
Thank you to Liv and these incredible women for being part of our subway series.
“I was on the 2 train and tired after leaving work at 11:11 p.m. and found that the only things keeping me awake while inspiring me (as they always do) were the dancers and musicians at the 42nd Street Station. It was at that moment that this idea for this NYFW came to me. Ideas generally come to me while sleeping, in the shower or on the subway! For this season I wanted to celebrate the heartbeat of NYC by bringing the underground above ground.” - Stacy Igel
