It is always dreamy when you find a spot in NYC that is a gem. Recently, we went backstage with Sürf 610 at the Shrine Harlem. Rob Scott, guitarist/producer of the group is also the best guitar teacher in NYC and teaches me and my son as well as photographer Sophie Elgort who shot these amazing images backstage. We were stoked to capture Rob and the incredible vibes of his band members. Each member of the band truly is made of gold. Sürf 610 is an international alternative rock band based in Manhattan and Brooklyn.
It's members have performed with everyone from Paul McCartney to Kanye West to Guns and Roses. Formed In 2018 by Guitarist/Producer Rob Scott and Eastern European singing sensation, Lina Luna, the duo was then joined by violin virtuoso and five time Grammy nominee, Susan Aquila. Influences include Eastern melodies, Brazilian rhythms, hard rock, electronica and classical music.The bands lineup now includes Jason Wexler on keyboards, Dave Previ on drums, Will Salwen on bass and the amazing Jacquelene Acevedo on percussion. All the musicians in Sürf 610 have been deeply committed to music and the arts all their lives and always bring to their performances a deep sense of passion and the belief that music can truly make a difference.
