"I'm inspired by people who share their success. I strive to live by John Paul DeJoria's motto of "success unshared is failure." As a co-founder of Paul Mitchell and other companies, he has always made giving back and investing in people a priority. I consider Tilly Levine who co-founded Tilly's the store and Tillys Life Center immensely inspirational because she has succeed in the fashion industry and creates a better future for everyone by developing our youth through her non-profit. One of the reasons I love Boy Meets Girl so much is Stacy Igel and how she combines her passions into designs with meaning. I'm always inspired by the pieces she designs for the causes she supports. Plus she teaches others how to succeed in fashion through Boy Meets Girl University."
What do you love about the state you live in?
"Southern California is wonderful for skateboarding year round. The weather is fabulous. Plus California is so big you can travel north and find seasons."
Causes you advocate for?
"I volunteer with Skate Rising because I want to empower girls through skateboarding. The lessons you learn from skateboarding, like patience & perseverance, help you on and off the board. I'm a Neon Ambassador for Paul Mitchell because I believe strongly that bullying needs to be stopped and that we can all choose to be kind. I volunteer for Clash at Clairemont because it supports a local YMCA that I love and Grind for Life - helping people with cancer is important to me because my grandmother battles it."
Are you excited for our Macy’s launch? Do you shop at Macy’s?
"I'm absolutely excited for Boy Meets Girl to be available at Macy's. Call me old-fashioned but I still love brick stores. There's something exciting about going to a store and trying on clothes that you just can't get by shopping on-line. Plus you can go to Macy's with friends and make it a true adventure."
Jordan Beal is our "Live to Inspire" Ambassador for Boy Meets Girl® launch in the Macy's at Mission Viejo.
