"Where I find inspiration constantly changes. Some days I find it in people and other days I find it in things like architecture. Currently music, specifically songs by Lorde, Maggie Rogers, and Billie Eilish, inspires me to live authentically and to be unafraid of showcasing my emotions and vulnerability through writing. Seeingother influencers online working hard and achieving their goals has been motivating for me to keep creating content that only gets better each day. Also, as of late I've been finding inspiration to make change by watching the women of the US Congress, like Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez andIlhan Omar, fight battles for justice."
Causes you advocate for?
"If it has to do with equality & human rights, it is a cause you can find me advocating for. A large portion of my activism is centered on women's rights and feminism, as I am the Co-Founder of Faces of Feminism, an online site where we share photos of diverse people, women and men, alongside a blurb detailing why they're a feminist and how they demonstrate their beliefs in everyday life. Also, although I do not have a mental illness myself, I have seen firsthand how the stigma around the issue can affect those who struggle with it, and I do my best to advocate for mental illness and the releasing of the stigma surrounding it through Instagram captions and blog posts. It is important for people to realize that they are not alone in what they are going through."
Where is your favorite place to be creative?
"My favorite place to be creative is my bedroom. I cannot even begin to count how many creative projects have started, been produced, and ended in my bedroom. From outlining creative writing to collaging to styling for photoshoots, my bedroom is where my creativity has no bounds and can run wild for hours."
What do you love about the state you live in?
"I love that in South Carolina you can drive one way and reach beautiful beaches then drive the other way the next day and eventually run into rolling foothills and mountain air. Having the privilege to take day trips to different places in my state has really let me appreciate the different landscapes and vibes it can bring, solely dependin g on whether you’re in the upstate or low country."
