Muse Couple of the Week: Helen Brooks and Mora Sky
Meet the Girl in this story Helen Brooks...
Helen Brooks is a quiet, reserved girl from California's Bay Area. She has been heavily involved in her hometown church, where she sang in the choir and participated in various outreach events. She's recently branched away from home to pursue her career as a flight attendant! Although she's spending most of her time away from home missing family and friends; she's experiencing a chance of a lifetime to explore the world. Best of all she's met the love of her life while doing it, fellow flight attendant Jamal "Mora" Morant. Together they travel and embark on new journeys every day!
Meet the Boy in this story Mora Sky...
YouTube personality turned musician, Mora specializes in unique Hip-Hop instrumentals and raps. Beyond his musical inclination, Mora is a seasoned vlogger and continues to show his experience in different endeavors; from dancing to creating hilarious comedy sketches. In fact, his most viewed video demonstrates how to perform the "Nae Nae" dance move, simplified "for dummies." In his free time he flies around the world with his beautiful girlfriend Helen Brooks as a flight attendant.
I met this incredible duo on a flight coming back from Holiday vacation over Christmas ( you never know where I am going to meet amazing muses ::). I was in the back holding Dylan Reid to help him go to bed on the plane. Helen was in back with me as she was working as a flight attendant on this flight back to NYC. I felt bad staying in back and she was so kind and said, "don't worry about it take all the time you need." Her aura was so special. As Dylan started to drift to sleep we began to talk about life and how she became a flight attendant and the pros and cons. The pro she said was she got to travel the world and the best part was she met her boyfriend (the boy in this story), Mora Sky flying above and around the world...up in the SKY! Hmm I never asked Mora if Sky is his real last name so I might have to get back to you all on that soon :)
Helen proceeded to introduce me to Mora when he came back to the back of the plane. Mora was full of life and super funny and also made me feel so comfortable while I was taking care of Mr. Dylan Reid. I found out he was an artist and then I said I have to feature you guys in our couples series! We exchanged digits and shot these incredible fun photos in NYC. Helen and Mora made a special trip within their busy flight schedule to come shoot with us. It was Helen's first time in NYC! There is a piece in our Boy Meets Girl write up that says this... "Boy Meets Girl®...what a limitless story that beginning can create. Maybe romance, a new friend, and more often than not, a small moment shared that only lasts a few seconds, maybe minutes, but inspires so many more. We create fashion rooted from these connections. Fashion and collaborations that stem from the interesting people we meet, the experiences we share, and the aspirations we strive for." This is exactly what happened when I met Helen and Mora. We shared a moment which led to another moment. I am so grateful for those moments and excited for you to learn more about them below in my BTS Q&A interview! Thank you both for being part of our muse couple feature. It was a blast shooting this series with you two especially the snow fight scene below captured by our resident muse photographer Spencer Kohn. You both inspire us and we are excited for everyone to learn more about you both below. xx, Stacy
