"The idea what I have the capacity to do something great inspires me every single day. Other than my family, women like Cara Delevigne, Zendaya, Emeraude Toubia, JK Rowling, Cassandra Clare, and Emma Watson inspire me because they stay true to themselves and continue to be bright and kind when others wouldn't have. They are a diverse bunch who are strong advocates in equality. These diverse women make excellent role models for the next generation. As a little girl, I was never able to see myself represented whether it be in books, movies, or tv shows."
What do you love about the state you live in?
"What I love the most about living in New York is the fact that the people around me are always doing something, everything is constantly in motion. I'm surrounded by intelligent and creative people who are politically and socially aware and active."
Causes you advocate for?
"My close friends and family all know I'm a strong advocate for equal rights among all genders, sexualities, races, and religions. As a Muslim American woman who is Moroccan and Venezuelan, diversity is really important to me and I feel that representation in the media is crucial."
Are you excited for our launch in Macy's? Do you shop at Macy's?
"The Boy Meets Girl launch at Macy's is going to be awesome and I can't wait to be able to shop there! Shopping at Macy's is something special to me because I often go there with my mom and younger brother so it'll be fun showing them an expressive clothing line I really like!"
